Orange County IFMA
We Serve as the Resource and Representative for Facility Management.
Facility management is the practice of coordinating the physical workplace with the people and work of the organization. It integrates the principles of business administration, architecture and the behavioral and engineering sciences.
The Orange County Chapter of IFMA is a professional organization that was developed to benefit Facility Professionals. Formed in 1984, the Orange County Chapter has a membership of over 200, continues its strong commitment to providing tools and resources for Facility Managers. Facility professionals have numerous job responsibilities. Major functions include: developing corporate facilities policies and long-range facility plans; coordinating construction; renovation and relocation projects; purchasing furnishings; equipment and outside facility services; supervising building operations; maintenance and engineering; and managing real estate procurement and disposal.
The Membership allows Professionals to develop peer relationships with other facility managers, and to learn new and innovative products and services through interaction with Associate Members. To serve as the ultimate resource and representative for facility management. To lead the future of the built environment to make the world a better place. We advance our collective knowledge, value and growth for Facility Management professionals to perform at the highest level.
The Orange County Chapter has established professional acclaim, on a national level, in a variety of ways. We are proud of the dedicated work of our volunteers who have brought the Chapter national recognition. Some Chapter distinctions include: “Chapter of the Year in 1996”, and “Excellence in Educational Programming in 1999” Chapter members have been nationally honored with awards such as:

The International Facility Management Association was established in 1980 as a not-for-profit, incorporated association dedicated to promoting excellence in the management of the work environment. With a vision to universally represent facility management as a profession, IFMA’s mission is to lead and sustain progress of the FM profession.
